Even more often there are the advertisements offering fast correcting
of any rachiocampsises. The decision of this problem unknown to a science
is really really found hitherto?
Search of the universal method, allowing to eliminate rachiocampsises,
it is conducted from an extreme antiquity. Still Gippokrat treated a
scoliosis (a lateral rachiocampsis), pressing on camber of a back in
the field of a curvature at simultaneous extension of a backbone. In
later managements on orthopedy there are descriptions of the receptions
very reminding methods of manipulation. But up to the middle of the XX-th
century the scoliosis nature was unknown, and methods of treatment had
no scientific substantiation. Therefore and results quite often were
negative, the Great number of complications spoke also that the doctors
having primitive representations about a structure of a backbone and
applying rasping receptions were engaged in "correcting" of curvatures.
In the beginning of the XX-th century professor Mikulich wrote:
" It is necessary to warn public against loud advertising, which... Promises
a full recovery in everything, even the most serious, scoliosis cases.
Not to mention losses of money and time, poor children are exposed to the
excruciating treatment which is not giving any result ". Unfortunately,
the present situation forces to recollect this caution. Attempts to treat
a rachiocampsis sometimes are undertaken by insufficiently qualified experts
in manipulation that leads to an unreasonable and illiterate choice of
methods of treatment of a scoliosis and, hence, enlarges quantity of
complications.
Rachiocampsis angle at a scoliosis - composed structural and functional
components. The basic structural component is an azygomorphous form of
vertebra. The functional component is a reversible shorting of ligaments
and muscles, asymmetry of a muscle tone, etc. the Structural component of
a curvature is enlarged during growth of vertebra and can be reduced also
in the course of growth. Therefore attempts mechanically to "straighten"
a rachiocampsis are senseless.

interval. But these inspiring results are deceptive, as "straightening"

from several minutes about several days. True reduction of deformation of
vertebra can be reached only at long and persevering treatment throughout
all period of growth of the child with obligatory use of all necessary
components of a complex of orthopedic treatment. Manipulation should not be
surveyed at all to alternatively tested orthopedic techniques, and can become
only important addition to a complex of orthopedic treatment. It will not
replace the surgical intervention which is required at started cases a
scoliosis. The basis of a complex of nonsurgical treatment of a scoliosis is
made medical gymnastics, корсетирование, by massage, an electrical stimulation
of the muscles, the sparing impellent regimen providing restriction of loads
on a backbone. The manipulation used in an abruption from a complex of
orthopedic actions, cannot become effective enough method of treatment of
a scoliosis. Errors can lead to serious consequences. Therefore for
successful application of manipulation in treatment of rachiocampsises high
qualification of the expert is especially important....
